Refashioned Blouse
You Will Need:
- Thrifted men’s shirt - collared, nice fabric and too big
- sewing machine
- scissorsStep 1. Remove the shirt sleeves. Set aside for later use:
Step 2. Slim the torso - do not make it fitted, but make a fairly straight line quite close to your body. This will create a gap in the underarm area: this can be easily fixed with a bust dart.
Step 3. Do not hem the armholes; use some of the excess sleeve fabric to finish the raw edges.
Step 4. Finally, join together the long sleeve strips to make the neck tie. The two strips may not be long enough to tie a blow, so you may have to salvage more scraps here and there to add a third joint. Don’t worry; it’ll be worth it:
